Ikarus Antivirus False Positive Whitelisting Of File
Is Ikarus antivirus, (an otherwise decent, easy to work with antivirus), telling you that a program or file is suspicious or contains a virus when you know that it does not. This is referred to as a false positive or false flagging which is very easy and fast to correct withing Ikarus antivirus software.
To whitelist or safelist a file or program in Ikarus:
- Double click on the icon in your system tray that represents the Ikarus antivirus software. This will make the programs main window appear.
- Click on the
Tools
menu item. A sub menu will appear. ClickSettings...
in the sub menu. This will bring up the settings dialog box for Ikarus. - Click on the tab with the text
