Bkav antivirus giving you a false positive? Bkav is one of the lesser known anti virus programs. Upon install and run of Bkav anti virus, we found the interface to be a little simplistic. There is very little documentation about how to whitelist or add exception a software program in Bkav. Fortunately, we installed the anti-virus and figured it out.

To whitelist or add exception to a file or program in Bkav antivirus:

  1. Double click the Bkav tray icon to make its user interface visible.
  2. Click on the icon marked Anti Fake AV.
  3. On the dialog box overlay that appears, click on the link with the text Option.
