To change your IP address in Internet Explorer web browser so you can unblock websites or for whatever reason. Although these steps won't actually change your IP address, it will route all your internet connections through a proxy server who has its own IP address so websites you visit will think that is your IP address.

  1. Start Internet Explorer web browser.
  2. Click the Tools menu.
  3. Click Internet Options. This will open a dialog box that allows you to choose/change options related to how IE connects to the internet.

  5. Click the LAN Settings button.
